Re: Advanced Metallurgical Group (AMG)

Approves Expansion of Lithium and Tantalum Operations in Brazil
Amsterdam, 12 December 2017 (Regulated Information) --- AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group N.V. ("AMG", EURONEXT AMSTERDAM: "AMG") is pleased to announce that the Supervisory Board of AMG has approved the construction of a second lithium concentrate plant at the Mibra mine in Brazil, with an annual production capacity of 90,000 tons.
AMG expects to complete the planned expansion by the end of 2019, and the total capital investment is approximately $110 million. Once completed, total annual production capacity from AMG's Mibra mine will increase to 180,000 tons of lithium concentrate and 600,000 lbs of tantalum concentrate. As part of the investment, AMG will also expand and develop the existing mining infrastructure to support the expanded lithium and tantalum operations. Construction permits for the new lithium concentrate and tantalum concentrate plants have already been secured.
In conjunction with this investment, AMG has mandated HSBC and Citi to raise $500 million in new credit facilities, comprised of a $300 million seven-year Term Loan B and a $200 million undrawn Revolving Credit facility. The new facilities are intended to refinance AMG's existing term loan as well as fund incremental capital expenditures. AMG expects to finalize the new facility in the first quarter of 2018.
The construction of AMG's first lithium concentrate plant is proceeding on time and on budget, with production start-up scheduled for June 2018.
The previously published Technical Report on Mineral Resources states that AMG's Mibra mine has 20.3 million tons of measured and indicated resources, including tantalum, niobium, tin and lithium. Based upon the expanded production level of 180,000 tons of lithium concentrate from 2020 onwards, AMG estimates that the current life of the mineral resource is approximately 20 years.
@contextbinder: net op tijd ingestapt!
Re: Advanced Metallurgical Group (AMG)

Re: Advanced Metallurgical Group (AMG)
http://www.pilbaraminerals.com.au/site/ ... Initiation
soit, back to business ...
https://www.prnewswire.com/news-release ... 07813.html
https://investingnews.com/daily/resourc ... um-prices/
operating cost= 75$/ton -> 34$/lbs
spotprice = 80 $/lbs ( LT price denkt Roskill.)
volume = 300.000 lbs/year
brutowinst = $ 13,8M
-> $ 9,66M na 30% tax

Tantalum

Re: Advanced Metallurgical Group (AMG)

Re: Advanced Metallurgical Group (AMG)
De stijging van de laatste dagen komt wss door volgende quote van Orocobre's CEO;
Managing Director and CEO, Mr Richard Seville commented, "Contract prices are rising in all markets and we expect this to continue in the foreseeable future as new demand for lithium chemicals exceeds new supply."

ivm tantalumprijzen...
Atlas Iron enters lithium game with Pilbara Minerals mine gate deal
The West reported that Pilbara Minerals has announced a two year tantalum offtake agreement with Global Advanced Metals after striking an innovative mine gate sales agreement with Atlas Iron.Pilbara Minerals boss Ken Brinsden has reacquainted himself with the iron ore miner he once led, striking an innovative mine gate sales agreement with Atlas Iron.
Under the tantalum deal, Pilbara will supply GAM with 100,000lb of 4 to 5% tantalum concentrate from its Pilgangoora lithium-tantalum project in the Pilbara, covering a portion of the 321,000lb of estimated annual tantalite production based on a low grade concentrate.
Pilbara said that the balance of tantalum concentrate is expected to be sold as higher value 25 to 30% tantalite product.
The company said it remained engaged with tantalum buyers for the balance of its tantalite production and was encouraged by the strength of demand for stable western sources of high-quality concentrate.
Pilbara noted the price of tantalum concentrate had risen over the course of the year to between USD 85 to USD 90/lb, well above the USD 73/lb on which the company based its Pilgangoora feasibility study.
Under the terms of the Atlas deal, the iron ore miner will buy between one million tonnes and 1.4mt of direct shipping lithium ore from Pilbara over 15 months, transport it to its Mt Dove crusher and ship it using its existing Utah Point port facilities at Port Hedland.
First exports are scheduled for the June quarter of next year.
Atlas said it expected to generate an operating margin of between USD 15 a tonnes and USD 20/t from the deal after allowing for payments to Pilbara and its own transport and crushing costs.
Under the terms of the deal, Atlas will pay an upfront pre-payment of USD 3 million to Pilbara.
China’s Sinosteel is the expected buyer of the ore under an agreement to be entered into with Atlas.
The deal allows Atlas to diversify its operations from the increasingly marginal, low grade iron ore business and utilise excess capacity at its crushing and port facilities.
