WASHINGTON, July 31 (Reuters) - U.S. inflation increased in June as tariffs boosted prices for imported goods like household furniture and recreation products, supporting views that price pressures would pick up in the second half of the year and delay the Federal Reserve from resuming cutting interest rates until at least October.
The report from the Commerce Department on Thursday showed goods prices last month posting their biggest gain since January, with also solid rises in the costs of clothing and footwear. The U.S. central bank on Wednesday left its benchmark interest rate in the 4.25%-4.50% range and Fed Chair Jerome Powell's comments after the decision undercut confidence the central bank would resume policy easing in September as had been widely anticipated by financial markets and some economists.

Heeft ondertussen al een paar handelsmissies achter de rug met het communistische China ....
En 4 weken terug was er opnieuw een hartelijke ontvangst.... Wie weet was het om te bespreken hoever het met de Chinese bussen die de Vlaamse vervoersmaatschappij besteld heeft bij BYD.
Het soort van handel dat NVA voor ogen ziet voor een welvarend Vlaanderen.
Zou de volgende bestelling in Rusland gebeuren ?

The Trump Organization will invest $3 billion in the Simaisma Project in Qatar, according to a statement.
Qatari Diar, one of Qatar's leading real estate companies, and DarGlobal, a subsidiary of the Trump Organization, signed a strategic agreement Wednesday for a giant luxury resort project in the Simaisma area, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) north of Doha, which will be Trump Organizations first real estate project in Qatar.
“Trump International Golf Club” and “Trump Villas” will be constructed, said the statement from DarGlobal. The project, which will spread over an area of approximately 790,000 square meters (8.5 million square feet), will include an 18-hole international standard golf course, a Trump Golf Club building and luxury branded villas with direct access to the beach.
The deal was signed at a ceremony at Qatari Diar's headquarters in Lusail. The ceremony was attended by Abdullah bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Attiya, Qatari minister of municipalities and Chairman of Qatari Diar, Eric Trump, the son of the US president and executive vice president of the Trump Organization. Senior executives from both companies also were present.
The protocol was signed by Ali Mohammed Al-Ali, CEO of Qatari Diar, and Ziad El Chaar, CEO of DarGlobal.
"We are immensely proud to bring the Trump brand to Qatar through this exceptional collaboration with DarGlobal. This debut marks an exciting new chapter in our global expansion, bringing our signature standard of excellence and world-class experiences to this dynamic market," said Eric Trump.
"Trump International Golf Club, Doha, together with our exclusive villa community, will embody the highest levels of quality, prestige, and timeless elegance that define the Trump name," he added.
El Chaar said DarGlobal is “honored to partner with The Trump Organization to deliver this iconic development. With the Trump brand’s global prestige and our deep expertise in creating world-class residential destinations, Trump International Golf Club, Doha will raise the bar for ultra-luxury coastal living in the region."
The project, touted as a new cultural landmark, will cover the Simaisma coast on the east coast of Qatar and stretch along a 7-kilometer coastline.
The project will include a $5.5 billion theme park, “Land of Legends Qatar,” 16 tourism zones, a marina, world-renowned restaurants and shops.

Donald Trump has signed a deal for the United Arab Emirates to build the largest artificial intelligence campus outside the US.
The agreement, signed during the president’s visit to the Middle East, would give the UAE broad access to advanced AI chips. Sources told Reuters it could be allowed to import 500,000 of Nvidia’s newest chips a year from this year.
The deal is a big win for the Gulf state, whose ambitions to become a major AI player have been thwarted by limited access to US chips.

May 1 (Reuters) - A stablecoin launched by Donald Trump's World Liberty Financial crypto venture is being used by an Abu Dhabi investment firm for its $2 billion investment in crypto exchange Binance, one of World Liberty's co-founders said on Thursday.
It's the latest in a series of Trump family crypto-related ventures, including a "meme coin" launched in January, that have drawn criticism from government ethics experts and political opponents over potential conflicts of interest.
World Liberty, which aims to allow people to access financial services without intermediaries like banks, said in March it would launch USD1, a dollar-pegged stablecoin backed by U.S. Treasuries, dollars and other cash equivalents.
Speaking at a crypto conference in Dubai, Zach Witkoff, a co-founder of World Liberty, said USD1 would be used to close the $2 billion investment by Abu Dhabi-based MGX into Binance, the world's biggest crypto exchange.
"We are excited to announce today that USD1 has been selected as the official stablecoin to close MGX's $2 billion investment in Binance," said Witkoff, who is a son of Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.

Speaking at a crypto conference in Dubai, Zach Witkoff, a co-founder of World Liberty, said USD1 would be used to close the $2 billion investment by Abu Dhabi-based MGX into Binance, the world's biggest crypto exchange.
"We are excited to announce today that USD1 has been selected as the official stablecoin to close MGX's $2 billion investment in Binance," said Witkoff, who is a son of Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.

Wat denken jullie van het idee om van Spaargids.be weer het zinnige en gezellige forum te maken dat het ooit was?
Gewoon vragen van elkaar beantwoorden op het vlak van sparen, deposito’s ETF’s, aandelen, obligaties, hypotheken, info over de nieuwe meerwaardebelasting etc. En evt. 1 rubriek in de kroeg. Laten we het gewoon "De Kroeg"" noemen, voor andere vragen of echt belangrijk nieuws
Zo moeilijk moet dat toch niet zijn?!
Het enige wat we er voor moeten doen is:
- Stoppen met links en rechts en politiek in het algemeen
- Gewoon onder 1 naam posten
- KleineSpaarder met zijn complexen op negeren zetten evenals onze huistrol dhr/mevr/het, afijn u weet wel wie ik bedoel.
Ik geef direct toe dat ik me ook aan het reageren op trollen heb bezondigd de laatste tijd, omdat ik me af en toe echt begon te ergeren en het zonde van deze site vond.
Zinnige vragen heb ik steeds zo goed mogelijk beantwoord. Bij onzinnige vragen reageerde ik ook sarcastisch, maar ook daar moet ik dan ook mee stoppen.

Ik zie het zelfs op familiefeesten. Als er gepraat wordt over politiek of geloof eindigt het in ruzie. Ik ben het de laatste tijd al dikwijls afgetrapt midden in het diner.
Er staan tegenwoordig zodanig veel pippo's op mijn negeerlijst dat ik soms hele bladzijden mis. Maar liever dat dan al dat gezever te moeten lezen.
Uw streven is nobel maar ik vrees dat het hopeloos is.
