Weet jij waar we volumes kunnen zien? Benieuwd hoeveel debt ze reeds hebben teruggekocht (laatste stavaza was 419M$ als ik me niet vergis).

Videogame sales posted a healthy rebound in March - reversing seven months of year-over-year declines - as the COVID-19 crisis spurred broad shelter-at-home orders, and users flocked to games for entertainment.
Industry sales rose 35% overall from March 2019 to $1.6B, the highest spending for a March month since the $1.8B in March 2008, according to NPD Group.
Gains were broad - and considering the refresh cycle, very strong in hardware (up 63% to $461M). In short: People went out and bought Switches.

GameStop (NYSE:GME) says it has retained over 90% of planned sales volumes in the two-thirds of its stores that are conducting curbside operations.
The company is taking more cash-savings measures, including dropping executive pay, offering some corporate support staff the option either a temporary furlough or reduced workweek/reduced pay program and lowering capital spending to focus on mandatory maintenance or near-term high value strategic projects.
The company continues to expect it has sufficient liquidity and financial flexibility to navigate the current environment.

To add insult to injury, according to the Company’s recent proxy statement, GameStop’s top five
continuing named executive officers (NEOs) were paid more than $22 million in total compen-
sation in 2019. Including non-continuing NEOs, this figure jumps to more than $35 million. It is
not just executive officers who have been rewarded handsomely, Board members have too. For
2019, each Board member in office for the entire year received $277,727 in total cash and stock
compensation, and GameStop’s independent board members were paid more than $2.4 million
for the year. This means that total compensation paid to GameStop’s Board and executive
team exceeded $38 million in 2019; more than 15% of the Company’s market cap at the end of
2019, a year during which stockholders lost more than 65% of the value of their investment.

Daarmee zouden ze een mooie debt refinanciëring realiseren.
